Lack of crops to sell led to poverty for many, and without the money to pay rent, several were forced to evict their homes and travel to distant lands. The heritages of Great Britain and North America were forever shaped in this way, with Irish culture being introduced to both lands. Cloned crops were learned to be more of a danger than convenience, creating more of a risk for disease in all of the harvest rather than just a portion of it.
